§ 10.20.270. Route 1 (State Street)—Prohibited where—Applicability of provisions—Penalty.
A.
When signs are erected giving notice thereof, parking is prohibited at all times on either side of Illinois Route 1 (State Street) from Mulberry Street to the north corporate limits of the city.
B.
The provisions of the ordinance codified in this section prohibiting parking shall not apply to emergency vehicles, while the driver thereof is engaged in the performance of emergency duties, nor shall provisions apply to the persons actually engaged in repairing or otherwise improving the street under the authority of the council of the city or under the authority of the state of Illinois.
C.
Parking on either side of Illinois Route 1 (State Street) from the south corporate limit of the city shall be parallel and adjacent to the curb, and shall only be allowed between the hours of six a.m. and six p.m., with parking prohibited in said area from six p.m. until six a.m.
D.
Penalty. The violation of any provision of this section shall be punished as provided in Section 1.16.010.
