§ 8.08.020. Deposit of trash in public place—Unlawful.

It is unlawful for any person, in person or by their agents, employees or servants, to cast, throw, drop, place, sweep, sift or deposit in any manner whatsoever in or upon any street, sidewalk, alley, stream, park or public place in the city any debris, garbage, refuse or rubbish, whether liquid or solid, and whether of the same nature as the articles, things or substances specifically mentioned in Section 8.08.010 or not; provided that the foregoing does not apply to the deposit of material, goods or merchandise deposited upon any street or other public place, when such deposit is made under a permit issued by the city for such purpose.
