§ 13.16.520. Discharge to storm sewers.
A.
Stormwater and all other unpolluted drainage shall be discharged to such sewers as are specifically designated as storm sewers, or to a natural outlet approved by the city. Industrial cooling water or unpolluted process waters may be discharged on approval of the city to a storm sewer or natural outlet.
B.
The owner of any property that has down spouts, foundation drains, sump pumps, or any other source of surface runoff or groundwater connected to a combined sewer shall disconnect any such sources and reconnect them to a storm sewer within one year following notification by the city that a storm sewer is available. Such disconnection and reconnection shall require a permit, except that the permit fee will be waived.
